    THE ROLE

    The North Vancouver School District offers a variety of options for French Immersion education with the goal of producing?well-educated, functionally bilingual students.? Students in the program achieve a level of learning in all subject areas equivalent to that achieved by students in the English program. Working with students who are not native French speakers, you will be responsible for teaching all subjects in French.?

    Candidates for this position may be eligible for reimbursement of expenses incurred for pre-hire travel, relocation, and immigration, as well as for a pre-employment signing bonus of up to $1,500 less required deductions.

    Ability to implement effective strategies to engage and support academic success for all learners in an inclusive environment

    Experience in designing and applying various assessment techniques to measure and monitor student progress.

    Committed to professional development with a desire to learn and implement new methodologies and strategies to provide a creative, engaged, and inclusive classroom experience.

    Demonstrated ability to apply relevant computer technologies to teaching and learning.

    Collaborates with students, parents, and staff to enhance the school as a learning community.

    NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

    A valid BC Teaching certificate or eligibility for certification through the BC?Teacher Regulation?Branch (TRB)

    A?Bachelor of Education Degree (Elementary/Secondary) from a recognized university specializing in French Immersion Education.

    Successful experience teaching French Immersion at the Elementary/Secondary level.

    Native-like fluency in French and English.

    Successful completion of senior university course work in French Immersion methodology or completion of a French Immersion Training program.?

    Experience in and knowledge of content and processes contained with the Elementary/Secondary French Immersion Language curriculum.

    LE RÔLE

    Le conseil scolaire de North Vancouver offre une variété d'options pour l'enseignement en immersion française dans le but de produire des élèves bien instruits et fonctionnellement bilingues. Les élèves du programme atteignent un niveau d'apprentissage dans toutes les matières équivalent à celui atteint par les élèves du programme anglais.     QUALIFICATIONS NÉCESSAIRES

    Un certificat d'enseignement valide de la Colombie-Britannique ou l'admissibilité à la certification par le Teacher Régulation Branch (TRB) de la Colombie-Britannique.

    Un baccalauréat en éducation (élémentaire) d'une université reconnue spécialisée en éducation d'immersion française.

    Expérience réussie de l'enseignement de l'immersion en français au niveau élémentaire.

    Parfaite maîtrise de l'anglais et du français (niveau langue maternelle)

    Avoir réussi un cours universitaire supérieur en méthodologie de l'immersion française ou avoir suivi un programme de formation en immersion française

    Expérience et connaissance du contenu et des processus du programme d'enseignement d'immersion française au niveau élémentaire.
