The Civil Aftermarket group aims to keep flight simulators up to date so that they are at the cutting edge of the various aeronautical improvements that the industry offers.

Join a team of 5 technicians in our office located in Mount Hope, Hamilton. You will be working on a newer generation 7000XR full-flight simulator. The flight simulation training device is approved under Transport Canada -TP 9685.

Night shift hours: 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM

Evening shift hours: 1 PM to 9:30 PM

In this role, the Simulator Technician will be expected to:

  • Perform technical tasks on-site, in the field, or laboratory.
  • Receive training in the various phases of laboratory, office, plant, or field technical work.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on the simulators and associated simulator systems.
  • Assist in diagnosing and correcting problems on the simulators and associated simulator systems.
  • Utilize a maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities.
  • Complete all designated training activities.
  • Perform preflight and postflight on designated simulators.
  • Run automatic Qualification Test Guide (QTG).
  • Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications.
  • Comply with quality management system.
  • Perform logistics and inventory duties, including parts receipt, shipment, repair, and testing/validation.
  • Perform administrative tasks as required.

Requirements:


  • 2year technical degree or 4 years in an electronic, avionic, or technical related field.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts day and night, and to adapt to changing work schedules.
  • Ability to interpret system prints and schematics.
  • Proficiency in operating test equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, signal generator, logic analyzer, etc.).
