Requirements:


  • Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of addictions recovery.
  • Ability to manage conflict and remain calm and assertive.
  • Ability to provide compassionate and patientcentered care.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently with mínimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or client needs.
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must always remain professional and respectful.
  • Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check

Responsibilities:


  • Observe and document client's behavior.
  • Assist with activities of daily living.
  • Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and document any changes or concerns.
  • Provide supportive counselling.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning and organizing living spaces.
  • Perform administrative duties for admissions and discharge of clients.
  • Provided information to clients regarding programs and resources.
  • Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients.
  • Provide support to individuals and groups.
  • Monitor and report any changes in clients' physical or mental health to the appropriate staff members.
  • Assist with transportation to appointments or outings as needed.
  • Coordinate daily living activities and assist counselors in the provision of individualized treatment plans.
  • Works with other staff and community partners to provide the best integrated care possible.
  • Provide support and assistance to individuals in need.

Benefits and Compensation
$20.00 per hour
