Job description
We currently have a full-time position available for a
Shipper/ Receiver at our
Hartland (Truck Shop) location.
This is an excellent opportunity for a team player with a contagious can-do attitude in the workplace.
The Shipper/ Receiver will perform general physical activities to load, unload, sort, and move shipments by hand or using material handling equipment.
Manage verification, acceptance, counting, and inputting into our system of all incoming goods and their condition. This role has excellent opportunities for advancement.What You'll Do
Responsibilities and requirements:
- Process orders to meet the delivery schedule
- Deliver daily customer orders
- Maintain inventory of incoming, stored, and outgoing goods
- Document all movement of parts/materials using appropriate paperwork
- Make arrangements with the carrier for any shipments required to ship outside the carrier
- Perform cycle counts
- Pack products on pallets to avoid any damage
- Review packing slips on all supplier orders ensuring accuracy; reporting damaged products or shortages to Dept Manager immediately
- Ensure the products are put away in the warehouse once received from the supplier
- Physical lifting required
Qualifications:
- Parts experience would be an asset
- Forklift Operator Certification preferred (training available)
- Valid Driver's license
- Basic Computer Skills
- Strong organizational and problemsolving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Commitment to a safe workplace
Schedule:
- 9hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Possible overtime
