Job DescriptionJoin the Front Office team at The YWCA Hotel, Vancouver We are seeking a professional, friendly individual for a Guest Service Representative Position.
What you'll be doing:
- Greet guests and visitors as they enter the hotel
- Complete check outs and check ins and receive payment
- Create guest reservations and advise callers regarding rates
- Be knowledgeable about The YWCA amenities and policies in order to advise guests accurately
- Post and balance payments and charges on guest folios
- Communicate with other departments such as Maintenance and Housekeeping regarding requests and changes throughout the day
- Anticipate guest needs in order to provide seamless and exceptional service
- Receive and respond to guest concerns and address them promptly
- Complete daily checklists and tasks to maintain organization at the Front Desk
- Count and verify individual cash floats and maintain responsibility for all cash received and given out
- Prepare reports
- Other duties as required
What you'll need:
- Previous Front Desk or other hospitality experience preferred
- Previous experience with Opera Cloud Management System an asset
- Strong interpersonal and problemsolving skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team as well as independently
- Ability to focus on guest needs, remain calm and professional at all times
- Able to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
- A second language is an asset.
- A valid clear criminal record check (including working with vulnerable populations) is required.
- The YWCA Metro Vancouver's COVID19 vaccination policy is currently suspended and as a result, vaccination from COVID19 is not required at this time. However, should circumstances change and the YWCA deem it necessary to reintroduce such policy, you may be required to provide proof of vaccination against COVID19 in order to be eligible to continue performing your duties.

Pay Rate:
$23.89 (GSR Night Auditor)
