About the Job

A community development coordinator for Alberta Team Handball Federation will work directly with schools to teach and educate the game of Handball.

The board has put a major focus on growing Handball in Alberta at the grassroots level.

The community development Coordinator will be a key role to promote the game to children from 10 years old (Elementary) - 18 years old (High School).

Promotion will be accomplished via:
Try-It days, school clinics, coaching courses, etc.

Position Details_
Position Responsibilities_
Work with schools to develop partnerships
Visit schools and teach handball
Look for new schools to work with
Plan, coordinate, and execute visits
Facilitate and teach online sessions
Host events for schools
Provide monthly reports for the Board of Directors
Attend conventions
Loves Sport (Handball Experience not necessary)
Post secondary diploma, degree, or equivalent experience preferred
Loves working with kids
Is enthusiastic and a self starter attitude
Has a valid driver license without any major violations in the last 3 years
Must have access to a personal vehicle during the day
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Technology proficient
