Job Summary:
Position Summary:
We are looking for a Systems Administrator (Licensing & Inventory) with a focus on software inventory and licensing to join our Production Systems Build Engineering Team, who reflects the innovative spirit, creative talent, and passion for great storytelling and filmmaking that defines ILM.
This role will help implement and document systems changes, make improvements to the reliability and performance of ILM's production systems, proactively call out and escalate any issues and assist with emergency events.
What You'll Do:
- Assist in the deployment and maintenance of all software for Windows, Mac and Linux systems for Lucasfilm and ILM companies, which includes monitoring and maintaining all license servers and coordination of upgrades and repairs
- Be responsible for software provisioning and auditing for adherence to annual budget tracking for all Lucasfilm and ILM department budgets
- Respond to tickets and troubleshoot, track and resolve issues involving software and licenses for both servers and client workstations
- Act as a liaison for Lucasfilm and ILM with outside systems vendors to obtain service and support for Windows and Linux systems
- Produce utilization reports and trend license and hardware usage for budget planning purposes
- Document all software installations for both internal needs and end users when required
- Participate in periodic offhours maintenance, incl. performing upgrades, installations, etc.

- Excel or Google Workspace proficiency is a must
- BS/CS or 2+ years experience with Linux and Windows is required (macOS is a plus) including systems administration, OS support, and scripting
- Vendor management at an enterprise level is a plus
- Knowledge of DNS/DHCP/NIS is a plus
- Experience with SAML cloud services, including Okta, is a plus
- Experience with large scale multiprocessing hardware and software systems
- ITIL or similar certification is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Decisive with solid problem solving and organizational skills
- Proactive and willing to complete unassigned tasks and take on tasks beyond job scope
- Willing to participate in an oncall rotation
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs is a requirement of this position
