Your role at Baxter
In this role, you will manage inventory at country or cluster level.

You will monitor and mitigate supply exceptions at a country level and lead and drive communications between the commercial team, customer support, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Network Planners, and fulfillment teams regarding gaps between inventory and customer demand especially in import markets.

You will work with NPs to mitigate short and medium-term supply and inventory issues and determine strategies communicating gaps between inventory and customer demand to the commercial team.

In import scenarios, you may manage fulfillment within country nodes. The role also encompasses a high level of risk management and order management accountabilities.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and own the inventory plan and execution for the market. Drive for inventory optimization opportunity analysis and deployment. Analyze and report inventory variance.
  • Own the communication strategy to the commercial team for supply issues. Lead commercial meetings to review pipelines and manage country fulfillment. Communicate any required parameter changes for cluster/country (e.g. lead time (F), safety stock (MP), freq. (F). Communicate with NP's and commercial and other stakeholders any midcycle MPS adjustments, DRP parameters and proactively resolve supply issues.
  • Understand, resolve, communicate, escalate low cover products.
  • Manage backorder risks with Supply Planner and communicate to commercial teams (In some clusters/countries (e.g. US), the market planner role will be limited to imported products).
  • Lead the strategic stock build planning for the market driven by import license registration, M&A, supply issue, etc. Time will be spent understanding the product registration and operation processes, market demand, and the Market Planner will generate different scenarios influencing multiple stakeholders to ensure informed decisions.
  • Develop and own the inventory plan and execution for the market. Drive for inventory optimization opportunity analysis and deployment. Analyze and report inventory variance being the accountable owner.
  • Order management including monitoring inbound POs, and work with Supply Planner, global logistics and transportation, shipping site, global carriers and foreign trade to find resolutions to shortterm supply issues.
  • Monitor customer limits and rebalance product allocation, when needed in collaboration with marketing partners.
  • Provide country or marketlevel feedback to Network Planner and Supply (Network) Manager.
  • Lead new product launches and product phase outs within the market.
  • Confirm transfer orders for products imported to their country/cluster. Market Planners will confirm the transfer orders from planning systems for products that are imported to their country/cluster except for US & Canada.
  • Make decisions and approve all Supply issue resolutions for imported products.
  • Complete monthly reserve proposal, identify and communicate opportunities for discard avoidance.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Supply Chain/Logistics required; APICS certification is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years related experience in supply chain management warehousing, distribution, logistics, transportation, customer service or/and inventory planning is required.
  • Detailed working knowledge of effective Supply Chain performance, including Operations management.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to judge when to deep dive selfdriv
