Department Overview

  • With offices located around the world, the strength of TD Securities Global Operations and Business Services lies in the diverse and dynamic group of individuals who provide critical infrastructure services that support and/or control the trading, investment and corporate banking functions of TD Securities.

  • Develop and maintain sound working relationships with our clients and internal groups to ensure a high level of service.
  • Overall accountability and governance of cash breaks and monthly reporting.
  • Set priorities and goals for team in both workflow and technology integration.
  • Oversee CSA soft dollar program.
  • Act as direct contact with low/high touch trade desks and Investment Advisors.
  • Liaise with clearing broker for identification of efficiencies and opportunities.
  • Conduct performance reviews and ongoing 1 on 1 to maintain the pulse of the team.
  • Guide team with unified vision for accountability and opportunity.
  • Provide metrics for business to identify bottlenecks.
  • Act as face of operations with custodians and internal partners.

Job Requirements

  • Ideally 68 years of progressive experience within capital markets, preferably in a Trade Support role with exposure to and indepth Operational Knowledge of Institutional Equities Business.
  • Hands on knowledge of New Issuance, NCIB workflows.
  • End to end understanding of custodial and introducing/carrying broker relationships.
  • Intimate knowledge of depository settlement life cycle (CDS/DTC/Euroclear etc).
  • Working knowledge of order management systems utilizing DTCC OMGEO/SSCnet/CTM.
  • Familiarity with Fidessa CTP and AS/400 is an asset.
  • Technical skills in automation including data analytics. Nice to haves include VBA, Tableau, Alteryx, Python and UI Path.
