THE DIVISION

The Corporate Information and Records Management Office (CIRMO) is the central agency responsible for developing corporate information management (IM) strategies, legislation, policies, and standards; and for delivering IM operations, training and compliance reviews.

CIRMO promotes effective IM practices across government.

CIRMO is responsible for leading and supporting the BC Public Service in the transformation to digital IM.

This transformation includes transition to the digital storage of information and archiving government's information of permanent value in a digital archives (as required by the Information Management Act [IMA]).

CIRMO ensures IM projects align with government's vision for modernized IM, and is responsible for leading strategic IM initiatives, including coordinating responses to recommendations made by the Information and Privacy Commissioner.


THE BRANCH:

Government Records Service supports all key activities necessary for the proper management of government's information assets


We provide:
Appraisals of government's recorded information (any format, physical or digital)
Information schedules (ARCS, ORCS, and Special Schedules) for classifying and managing records, and hosting draft schedules for public servant use
Implementation and support for government's Enterprise Document and Records Management System (EDRMS Content Manager)
Records advisory services for ministries and broader public sector agencies
Basic and specialized records and information management guides and training for public servants
Advice on the Digitizing Government Information Standard
Offsite records storage, retrieval and destruction services


Job Requirements:


  • Diploma in Adult Education, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be considered.
  • Experience in eLearning technologies and multimedia.
  • Working experience in the use of Adobe Captivate, and After Effects (or equivalent software/programs).
  • Working experience in graphic design.
  • Experience in planning, developing, and delivering learning, elearning, and professional development programs for adults.
  • Experience leading, facilitating or being a contributive member of project teams and in working with multiple stakeholders to deliver a product, program, or service.
Experience in Project Management and/or Agile methodologiesPreference may be given to applicants with one (1) or more of the following:


  • Experience with information management, including records management and/or freedom of information.
  • Experience using CMS Lite, and or Adobe Premiere Pro Additional years' experience in the above requirementsProviso:
  • Lifting of up to 25lbs will be required.
