An exciting
2-year temporary full-time opportunity as a
Project Manager exists in the Finance Department, reporting to the
Director, Finance & Strategic Sourcing.

This position will lead and oversee the implementation of a new SAP program, a critical component of our ongoing business transformation.


In this temporary role the Project Manager will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of the SAP modernization project.

This role requires a dynamic individual with excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a keen attention to detail.

The project will commence in the Summer of 2024 and is expected to run for approximately 2 years, with the possibility of extension.


Summary of Duties, but not limited to:

  • Leads, develops, monitors, and evaluates the overall management of the SAP implementation project throughout its lifecycle.
  • Participates in project planning activities and manages execution of projects according to plan.
  • Proactively identifies changes in work scope, while ensuring appropriate planning measures are taken with internal and external stakeholders to reassess and amend the scope of work (budget and timelines).
  • Actively works to identify and analyze risk, establishes contingency plans and is responsible for initiating mitigating action. Devises contingency plans as required.
  • In collaboration with project partners, analyzes, and develops project planning initiatives such as the creation of project plans, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful project execution for SAP software implementation.
  • Oversees strategic policy decisions and operational plans for program design, development, and execution, working directly with internal and external project teams.
  • Effectively communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Creates and oversees budget program to support SAP implementation as well as managing projectrelated expenses and financial reporting.
  • Prepares quarterly and year end activity and budget reports, communicates progress, milestones, and other key project metrics to project leads and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Responsible for delivering regular status updates on SAP project implementation via reports, and presentations to key stakeholders.
  • Coordinates with project partners to ensure alignment and successful execution of project deliverables.
  • Ensures compliance with hospital policies, funding agreements, and data sharing protocols.
  • Collaborates with vendors on the delivery of SAPrelated business transformation processes.
  • Manages change initiatives related to the SAP implementation, including communication and training plans.
  • Ability to multitask between various projects throughout the organization as needed.

Qualifications/Skills:


  • Master's degree in a healthcare field or health administration is required.
  • Current certification in Project Management (PMP designation preferred).
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible project management experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Previous experience with SAP systems and implementation is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of full development process including requirements analysis, design, development, deployment, testing, and maintenance is an asset.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans that align with departmental and organization objectives.
  • Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across sectors.
  • Proven experience in managing budgets and financial reporting.
