Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor plants to ensure optimal health and productivity.
- Communicate and escalate all issues with a plant and/or the production process to all the relevant parties as required.
- Recommend, perform and coordinate corrective actions such as the removal, isolation or destruction of plants.
- Assist in trimming, defoliation, feeding, watering, and other tasks as required
- Assist in pre and postproduction sanitation
- Complete in full all required documents and forms for tasks as performed
- Adhere to Medz SOPs, procedures, protocols and standards
- Support and comply with all quality standards within the facility
- Collect and interpret nutrient concentrations and take necessary actions to adjust fertilizer levels.
- Coordinate and participate in cultivation related activities such as stock plant maintenance, cloning, plugging, crop maintenance, and harvesting and cycle turnover.
- Ensure growth specifications are acceptable by meeting or exceeded the company's goals and objectives.
- Coordinate daily activities to determine opportunities for improvement in productivity, efficiency and quality.
- Work under Master Grower and manage requests such as transplanting, mixing, harvesting, feeding, defoliating, plant maintenance, netting, etc.
- Ability to physically lift, reach, bend, and perform repetitive work
- Comfortable working in adverse conditions i.e. high intensity lighting, heat, etc.
- Identify plant deficiencies and adjust feed schedules as needed.
- Insuring the grow is clean and correcting issues that exist.
- Assist in maintaining appropriate supply levels.
- Assist in overseeing the Grow Crew and Trimmers.
- Report back to the Master Grower on all findings in the grow.
- Make suggestions to increase the health and function of the grow.
- Complete paperwork associated with each activity including trimming, bucking, harvest, packaging, etc.
Credentials
- Postsecondary degree in Agriculture/Horticulture is preferred
- Previous experience in Licensed Producer preferred
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and irrigation equipment is an asset.
- Exhibit initiative, responsibility, intuition and leadership.
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
- Possesses a strong understanding of plant nutrients and their deficiencies.
- Possesses a strong understanding of cannabis pests and diseases.
Salary:
From $18.00 per hour
