Position Summary


As an integral member of the Eating Disorders Ontario (EDO) portfolio the PROGRAM COORDINATOR will organize and orchestrate program activities and projects under the direction of the Director, EDO (or designate); coordinate internal and regional meetings, and events; assist in financial billing and payment activities; ensure the efficient operation of the program office; support the development of annual reports; performing cross-functional and other duties consistent with the job classification, as required.


Duties

  • Coordinates complex scheduling of internal and external stakeholders for portfolio meetings, events, and working group meetings.
  • Coordinates the planning of large regional multidisciplinary meetings and/or events including booking of venue or virtual platform, organizing technical requirements (AV), and development of event information packages
  • Prepares materials for meetings including agendas, minutes, supporting documentation, templates, etc. and completes documentation for reporting on meeting
  • Manages multiple competing priorities, timelines and responsibilities of multiple programs, projects and services
  • Develops detailed project plans outlining project processes, deliverables and timelines, in consultation with the Director (or designate)
  • Ensures timely completion of assigned tasks as per project plans while proactively identifying any obstacles or challenges that may hinder the achievement of project timelines
  • Develops plans to mitigate these risks and report any unresolved issues to the Director(s) for further escalation and resolution
  • Coordinates and completes financial billing and payment activities under the direction of the Director
  • Responds to financial correspondence on behalf of the portfolio
  • Manages departmental information technology and telecommunications resources to maintain an efficient, costeffective, and safe work environment with appropriate systems in place for smooth work activities.
  • Develops and communicates office procedures; acts as a resource person to the department on all office administrative and maintenance matters

Qualifications

  • At minimum, completion of a bachelor's degree in an appropriate healthcare or business discipline or recognized equivalent required
  • At minimum 4 years practical and related experience
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Experience working in a health care environment an asset
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure
  • Ability to effectively handle confidential matters and materials
  • Experience in a Microsoft Office environment
