Responsibilities:


The neurosurgical equipment Service & Repair Technician is responsible for the troubleshooting, service, repair, and maintenance of designated bench electronic and mechanical medical equipment in the most efficient manner, adhering to established quality standards.

In addition, this person will also provide on-site repair and preventative maintenance services to key customers in the greater Ontario area for both owned and consigned equipment.

Local day travel will be required to support the on-site servicing of Integra equipment.

As required, this person may work with the local sales team to respond to customer needs, including Cincinnati manufacturing, quality teams, and complaint department to perform product failure evaluations and diagnostics.

The individual will also be responsible for complying with all local and global policies and procedures.


An essential function of this role is making in-person onsite regular visits to hospitals, medical facilities, and other customer locations. To be considered for this opportunity you must be able to comply with all customers onsite requirements, including COVID-19 vaccination requirements unless otherwise permitted by law.

  • Must be able to work independently as well as under direct supervision.
  • Must be able to safely and properly use and operate repair tooling and test equipment.
  • Complete repair of all customer products within designated repair cycle times, including closing and documenting repairs in Oracle
  • Perform & execute all repairs in accordance with training, local and global SOP's
  • Become and remain proficient in all user and service manuals, company procedures and work instructions.
  • Maintain and keep accurate inventory of all parts assigned. Request parts as needed through the Repair and Service Supervisor and Materials Coordinator
  • Perform other duties as required by the business.
  • Manage assigned work and repair priorities
  • Collaborate and work with other functions on product / repair complaints

Qualifications:

  • Two (2) Year Associate Degree in Biomedical equipment repair or
  • Certification from a technical / trade school or similar education
  • 2+ years electrical and mechanical repair on medical equipment preferred.
  • Machinery shop experience or related technical or handson repair work experience will be considered
  • Demonstrated mechanical technical / troubleshooting aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills verbal & written
  • Solid computer skills; Oracle skills a plus
  • Experience in the medical field a plus
  • Ability to work in team environment / service environment required
