Job description:

Executive Partners manage a portfolio of CIO member relationships.

As their Executive Partner, you will:

  • Deliver value through regular briefings, workshops, roundtables, webinars, and by attending relevant Gartner events
  • Define and deliver innovative solutions by assessing member Mission Critical Priorities (MCPs) and developing a customized service plan
  • Build a strong partnership with Gartner's Sales organization and collaborate with them to ensure member engagement and renewal of ExP business

Essential must-have skills:


Our most successful Executive Partners' adopt best practices, build strong relationships with clients and colleagues, and develop themselves with a growth mindset of continuous improvement.

Executive Partners are client-centric and eager to combine their own experience with Gartner's extensive research resources for the benefit of their members.


  • Significant experience as a CIO of a large banking organization, with substantial experience leveraging progressive technologies and methodologies (Agile/DevOps, AI/ML, "Big Data", Cloud migration, digital product development etc.) for digital transformation and strategic business innovation
  • Additionally, you should bring insight into the evolving role of technology in company strategy and at the board level, including implications for CIOs, CTOs and CDOs
  • You should also be able to demonstrate advanced critical thinking, clear written and verbal communication and structured problemsolving skills.
  • Financial services, specifically large banking experience is a must
