On Call Casual Caretaker(s) IRVS issituated on the traditional territories of the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta including the Siksikaitsitapi (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, Amskapi Pikuni), the Tsuutina, the Iyaxe Nakoda Nations (Bearspaw, Chiniki, Goodstoney), and the Metis Nation of Alberta Region 3.Our team is committed to creating positive, safe and inclusive environments for students to learn and for staff to work together.

The OpportunityRVS invites applications for the on-call, casual positions of Caretaker I for the school year for the Chestermere Area .
Caretaker I, on call casuals, are called to work on an as needed basis, at any of our schools for all Rocky View Areas.
You must be available a minimum of 8 instructional days per month, be accessible by telephone and internet, and provide your own transportation.
All candidates must be available for an interview.These positions do not qualify for benefits or sick leave.
We seek candidates who possess the following:
Ability to work independently and perform assigned tasks within a team environmentRoutine cleaningAttention to detail related to varied and complex cleaning tasksDemonstrated pride in workmanshipExperience working in accordance with Occupational Health & Safety, WHMIS and other relevant legislationPerforms building security checks as scheduled by the Head Building OperatorPositive referencesEducation/ExperiencePrevious cleaning experience is considered an assetCertifications from cleaning organization is considered an assetPrevious experience within a school division is considered an assetAn equivalent combination of Education and Experience may be consideredKnowledge/SkillsBasic knowledge of proper cleaning proceduresAbility to successfully work in a team environment as well as independently with minimalsupervisionEffective written and verbal communication skillsPre-employment RequirementsThe successful candidate(s) must submit a current Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check within 30 days of the start of your employmentProof of qualifications/education as required by the positionOpen to: Internal and External applicantsSalary: Starting hourly rate $20.
