JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION:
Seasonal Waterfront Park Attendant
DIVISION:Parks
DEPARTMENT:
Community Service

PRIMARY FUNCTION**:
To assist with the services necessary to maintain the quality of operations, safety and appearance of all the waterfront parks in Georgina.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED**:
ROC Operations Lead Hand, ROC Supervisor or designate.
DIRECTION EXERCISED**:
None.
WORKING PROCEDURES:
Opening and closing of park gates and washrooms;
Assists with parks maintenance, including grass cutting, whipper-snipping, picking up of litter, checking garbage and replacing bags;
Monitoring park grounds/beach area and reporting any damage to the Crew Leader;
Other related duties as assigned;

SKILL/KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS**:
Must be willing to work outdoors in inclement weather;
Previous experience in the use of parks/lawn maintenance equipment considered an asset;
Be prepared to work flexible hours, including days, evening, weekends and holidays;
Good customer service skills to deal effectively with the general public;
