Description

This position supports the Securities Lending IT team at National Bank Financial Group.

As our newest
Chief Application Analyst you will be responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and assigning work in our operational suppport team.

Your job

Understand and become familiar with the securities lending ecosystem
Ensure support, audit, compliance requests are acknowledged, evaluated, assigned and closed by working with your peers in the support team.
Coordinate the oncall and weekend holiday coverage to ensure support is available at all operating hours
Participate in design discussions and produce design/functional artifacts as required
Assist in user requirement process, task breakdown, effort estimation and implementation of new software features in an incremental manner using agile methodologies
Optimize processes and improve the efficiency of the technology
Interact with internal partners as well as key vendors in all aspects of this role
Documentation of all efforts for support, maintenance and reference purposes using existing tools.

Prerequisites

Degree in Computer/Software Engineering, or related discipline with a minimum of 2+ years of work experience in the financial industry
Working knowledge/Experience with Trading Systems
Experience with Perl, Linux, Python, Cloud computing are assets
Enjoy and have interest working within the dynamic environment of Capital/Financial Markets.
