Entity and activity description

Here is what you will do_**VitalAire is currently recruiting a highly energetic and motivated Respiratory Therapist/RPN/LPN for our Chatham branch.

The RT/RPN/LPN provides all respiratory services with a focus on providing oxygen therapy, clinical and ventilatory support to the client while collaborating with referring physicians and ensuring patient safety.

Provides all respiratory services
Focus on Sleep Diagnostics and Therapeutics, will include, but not be limited to:
Conduct appointments and set-up of equipment for sleep diagnostic testing based on American Academy Sleep Medicine (AASM) guidelines
Evaluate client therapies based on referrals and then determine respiratory therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians
Initiate PAP therapy when prescribed, providing patients with education, instructions of use, and cleaning and maintaining of their equipment
Provides appropriate regular followup to clients to evaluate effects of therapeutic care
Actively promotes related products and provides solutions to client needs
Responsible for maintaining most up to date continuing education as related to the position to ensure that clients are receiving most current therapies and devices
Responsible for complying and maintaining knowledge of all funding processes
Ensures quality documentation through completion of all documentation and forms
Participates in oxygen and other respiratory services including on call when required
Focus on providing oxygen therapy, clinical and ventilatory support to the client while collaborating with referring physicians and ensuring patient safety
Provides quality care by conducting a full respiratory assessment; diagnostics as applicable; assessing and evaluating test results; delivering of equipment and supplies as required; developing respiratory therapy treatment plans in consultation with the client, physicians and care teams as per prescription and established company best practices
Provides appropriate followup to clients to evaluate effects of treatment plan, comfort of client when using treatment and addresses compliance with therapy
Assess clients home environment for safety, identifies and addresses areas of concern, and performs equipment quality control checks on a recurring basis
Contributes to the growth of Air Liquide Healthcare by liaising with healthcare professionals; providing information/literature to prospective clients; providing demonstration/education of products and services to prospective clients
Maintains continuing education and knowledge of clinical best practices.
Responsible for complying and maintaining knowledge of all funding processes

and systems

When required participates in sleep duties including initiating PAP therapy when prescribed

Here is what you will need_**- Registered Respiratory Therapist

Registered Nurse or RPN/LPN
Licensed to practice with the provincial governing body
Strong cardiorespiratory assessment skills
Valid driver's license
Clear vulnerable persons check
Previous experience in healthcare field an asset
