Weekend work, 5 am start time

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

  • Perform snow removal activities on Blue Mountain Resort property and Resort affiliated properties. Work includes, but not limited to; removing snow utilizing shovels and/or snow blowers
  • Conduct ice patrols and assess general hazards to ensure the safety of our guests and employees
  • Monitors material levels in SOS bins around the Resort
  • Make basic repairs/maintenance of departmental equipment such as snow blowers
  • Inform Leadership of supplies required such as equipment parts, ice melt, etc.
  • Responsible for waste management of trash, recycling and food waste (organic matter)

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

  • Enjoy working outdoors and able to handle and function in inclement weather conditions
  • A willingness to work additional hours and shifts as needed
  • Must be physically fit; able to lift and carry heavy objects and materials (snow, ice melt bags, etc.) and perform repetitive tasks involving shoveling, bending, stretching, walking and kneeling
  • Must be able to follow established procedures, take responsibility for completing assigned tasks and document accurately
  • Experience in minor maintenance and repair of equipment an asset
  • Experience in snow removal an asset
  • Knowledge of Resort an asset
  • Valid Class "G" Drivers License with satisfactory drivers' abstract required
