Job summary


Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for supplying the majority of the materials necessary for production by building close relationships with suppliers and your procurement team as well as the production team.


Job responsibilities

  • Analyzes purchase suggestions, create and sends purchase orders for raw materials, services and production supply;
  • Follows up on purchase orders, obtains confirmations and ensures ontime delivery;
  • Ensures an optimal stock level based on the plant's production level and forecast;
  • Monitor the inventory tracking process and maintaining the right level of accuracy;
  • Collaborates with the team to reduce backorders and improve replenishment processes;
  • Makes adjustment recommendations to inventory parameters (min/max) and maintains them in the system;
  • Participates in negotiations with suppliers of materials for which he/she is responsible;
  • Ensures accuracy of price lists in the system;
  • Communicates any supply issues to the team (availability, delays, quality issues) and proposes solutions to optimize production;
  • Creates new parts in the ERP system (Epicor);
  • Manages supplier returns and credits;
  • Actively participates in the improvement of processes related to his/her field of activity.

Education and experience required

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a purchasing position in a manufacturing organization;
  • Relevant Procurement Training.

Key skills required

  • Meticulousness, thoroughness, analytical skills;
  • Good Priority Management;
  • Proactive actionoriented;
  • Proficiency in the office suite (Excel, Power Point, Word) and other related procurement and inventory programs as required;
  • Fluency in English, Fluency in French an asset (spoken, written)

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
