We have an opportunity for a Rough-In Foreperson to help manage a team of laborers and sub-contractors for a large mix-use development Onni is building in Burnaby.

This position will be responsible for assisting the Superintendent with rough-in duties including making sure the crew shows up to work on time, training and directing the crew.

Organizational and administrative duties involve reading and following sketches and blueprints and coordinating with subcontractors to ensure project completion.

About you:

We are looking for an ambitious, organized, individual with an above standard high attention to detail to see perfectly executed rough-in work.

Duties:

Coordinate with MEP trade contractors and ensure they progress according to the project schedule
Familiarize yourself with the blueprints in order to foresee problems and minimize the schedule & financial impacts
Ensure project materials and workmanship meet project quality standards
Ensure the all staff and contractors maintain a safe working environment according to company policies
Document the construction process and keep all parties informed on important issues

Summary of Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of commercial construction experience
Experience with Rough-In, Firestopping, ductwork, plumbing, and wiring
Knowledge of BC Building Code and attention to detail an asset
Proven performance in leadership and managing both people and construction sites
Demonstrated effective communication and teambuilding skills
