Job Purpose:
Support operators and supervisors to work safely and efficiently by cleaning the site, moving materials, and performing routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
Worksites are located throughout Western, Canada with a specific focus on Pipeline Integrity Digs, Demolition and Remediation and Reclamation projects.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Cleaning of construction sites, performing routine maintenance on tools/equipment, loading and unloading equipment.
- The safe and effective operation of Heavy Equipment in the completion of various projects throughout western, Canada.
- Working with hand tools, moving materials on the construction site, generally assisting other workers in completing their work
- Some heavy lifting and physically demanding duties.
- Commitment to working safely and following safety protocol.
- Experience in oilfield waste management, heavy equipment and valid industry safety tickets are an asset.
- Capable of operating small equipment such as skid steer, packer, loader and rock trucks
Qualifications/Competencies
- Must have steel toe work boots; other personal safety gear is an asset
- Ability to work variable shifts & hours
- Work and travel in varied terrains, weather conditions, isolated locations and by various means of transportation
- Can work well as a team member or independently with little direction
- Must be reliable, mature, punctual, motivated
- Strong detail orientation with computer skills
- Reliable communication and customer service skills
- H2S Alive & First Aid
