POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Many forms of education and experience are valued, including volunteering, and lived experience of mental health/substance use/homelessness; Minimum education and experience include:
- Diploma or certificate in Human Resource Administration.
- A minimum of 1 year of related experience in fullcycle recruitment.
- Nonprofit experience is preferred.
- Excellent computer skills in MS Office, HRIS, and Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Ability to understand, communicate and support the mission and values of RainCity Housing, and the models/methods of supporting clients including the principles of Housing First and Harm Reduction.
- Ability to travel throughout the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley, and Sunshine Coast to attend job fairs and meet with selection committees.
COMPETENCIES
- Coordinates the posting of job competitions, liaising with managers to gather relevant information. Shares job openings in a wide array of channels including online job boards, networking events, and social media platforms.
- Coordinates the workflow of the HRIS' Recruitment model. Monitors the status of multiple job openings, following up on the hiring process and checking in with managers and applicants about delays, missing documents, and next steps.
- Provides training, guidance, and assistance to managers in operating the HRIS Recruitment model. Monitors turnover of hiring managers, facilitating seamless transitions of system permissions change to new managers, and avoiding delays in the hiring process.
- Reviews the recruitment process and HRIS modules for improvement and enhanced efficiency. Processes updates and configuration of new processes.
- Supports HR Coordinators with the onboarding process, providing a welcoming and seamless onboarding experience for new hires.
- Collaborates with analysts on an advanced hiring model and predictive analytics projects, coordinating hiring efforts to meet organizational needs.
- Makes recommendations to support the development and implementation of sound competency focused recruitment practices organization wide. Develops selection criteria and assessment tools.
- Develops and provides training to hiring managers on recruitment policies, procedures, and best practices. On an ongoing basis, coaches the selection committees on interview techniques and processes that minimize bias in the selection process.
- Escalates contentious selection recommendations to Human Resources leadership.
- Advises hiring committees on collective agreements, legislation, and policy/procedure to the recruitment process.
- Fosters a positive labour relations environment by developing a relationship with the union(s) and assisting or leading in resolving selection related grievances, including participating in mediation/arbitration, if necessary.
