Current Rate of Pay:
Min $47.07- Max $ 58.83


Current Shifts:
Days, Monday to Friday - 8hrs


Position Summary:


The Project Lead position is responsible:

  • To the Emergency Mental Health and Addictions Services (EMHAS) Operations and Quality Team for the management and administration of the project implementation and its deliverables ensuring that these are met on time and on budget.
  • For coordinating the operational planning, implementation, coordination and evaluation of the program design created by the EMHAS Operations and Quality Team.
  • To utilize best practice Project Management methodologies and lead all project management lifecycle stages
  • To act as a handson change agent to identify areas for process streamlining in preparation for system design, by utilizing internal resources and knowledge
  • To organize and facilitate communication and meetings with operational leaders, internal stakeholders, and external stakeholders, to ensure positive tracking against project milestones and metrics
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Participates in budget planning and monitoring for the EMHAS service

Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Abilities:


  • Undergraduate degree in health sciences related field required
  • Master's degree in applied health science, business or health administration preferred
  • Professional Certification
  • Project Management Professional designation or certificate preferred
  • Lean process improvement certification required
  • Registered health professional in Ontario, preferred
  • 5 years of project management experience required
  • Previous Mental Health and Addictions experience preferred
  • Previous experience in a health care environment is considered an asset
  • Previous experience with the implementation of crossorganizational projects or initiatives
  • Lean or equivalent Quality Improvement education/training required
  • Exemplary communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated change management skills, including communicating change to key stakeholders.
  • Ability to quickly assess readiness, plan and prepare sound project plans, to execute the plan on time and on budget, and to assess implementation effectiveness and suggest course corrections as necessary.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and successfully manage in a complex, fastpaced environment with multiple, and shifting priorities and stakeholders.
  • Innovative and creative problem solver; demonstrates exceptional judgment and decision making skills.
  • Organizational, conceptual and strategic thinking skills and abilities required
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Visio, database management, project management software, etc.
  • Demonstrates excellence in interpersonal, communication, coaching, mentoring and team building skills that facilitate positive interactions among all members of the team
  • Possesses proven analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrates superior decisionmaking and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, support and critical analysis in stressful, complex clinical and emotional situations.
  • Demonstrated skills in building collaborative relationships with local and regional partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze quality improvement metrics and outcomes
