Description

Our branch in Markham Toronto is looking for Dispatcher.
The Dispatch is responsible for Customer Service and satisfaction. The person is responsible for managing truck fleets and operator-trucker teams daily.

It is the first contact with which the customer contacts the company and will remain the preferred link between the customer and the company during our services.


The daily work includes multiple activities:

  • Negotiating rates & booking shipments with in-house trucking companies, partner carriers or other trucking companies.
  • Review & approve invoices received from carrier.
  • Follow up with partner carriers on pickup & delivery status.
  • Follow up that all shipments have been done as planned.
  • Follow up with the accounting department for invoices and payment.

Skills:


  • Excellent English verbal & written.
  • Experience in load planning and dispatching.
  • Team spirit.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Highly proficient using computers.
  • Able to manage many challenges simultaneously, take high volume of calls.
  • Previous experience in dispatch.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Markham, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- dispatching: 1 year (preferred)
