Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing research integration support to the Extensive Needs evaluation team, you will perform activities delegated by the evaluation lead
  • Responsible for uploading, managing and extracting completed clinical outcome measures in client EMRs
  • Attend ENS weekly rounds to present outcome measures to ENS clinical team
  • Assist in the development, implementation and tracking of PDSA (plan, do, study, act) cycles
  • Responsible for recruitment, coordinating and scheduling participant visits, data collection, facilitating informed consent/assent, and supporting all families' understanding of the procedures and implications of the research studies
  • Work in partnership with ENS partner sites on new research/clinical integration strategies and assist in the implementation of strategies
  • Perform participant interviews, assessments as required by study protocols
  • Score and enter data for standardized assessments, interviews, and questionnaires and report relevant information back to ENS clinical team
  • Support in the preparation of presentations and reports, and contribute to manuscripts
  • Ensure research is conducted in compliance with the Bloorview Research Ethics Board (REB) and Tri-Council Policy Statement (TCPS2)

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in sciences, social sciences or a health related discipline
  • Postgraduate education in fields specific to behavioural science/autism, child development, early childhood education, etc. or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with children with cooccurring medical, physical and developmental complexities and/or social vulnerabilities, and their families
  • Research experience, which has garnered you an understanding of research policies and procedures and experience working on multisite studies and quality improvement is an asset
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Experience and demonstrated skill in administering psychological assessments, parental interviews, and questionnaires is an asset
  • Ability to function independently, and yet collaboratively, within a research team
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated computer software skills (including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
