What you will be doing:The
Agile Coach oversees the agile delivery management (ADM) team responsible for the agile delivery of development teams.

In this role you will be responsible for:

Coaching/People Leadership:


  • Mentor and coach team members to help them continuously improve and grow their skills
  • Foster innovative and creative culture, facilitate agile process improvement for ADM team
  • Ensure ADM leaders support team outcomes, promote psychological safety and self organization, and continuously improving their ways of working
  • Be a champion of Agile methodologies, advocating a datafirst mindset using metrics and KPIs to drive decisions

Delivery:


  • Ensure ADMs have the resources to support their agile teams' success and remove impediments through stakeholder engagement and coordination.
  • Analyze crossteam metrics to modify/improve delivery and detect potential issues in team delivery risk, engagement, and morale.
  • Coach ADMs to identify team challenges and address performance gaps while closely monitoring progress.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize effectiveness and build relationships with key stakeholders and departments.
  • Foster strong working relationships across key subteams, collaborate with other IT leaders to ensure alignment, and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
  • Actively review and address team engagement and morale; propose changes within the organization to improve/sustain team morale and engagement
  • Establish and build relationships by engaging with key stakeholders and departments in support of delivery

Process:


  • Develop and implement agile methodologies and processes to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Use systems thinking to manage workflows and governing structures for agile delivery and support product and technology budget management.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts and support effective ways of working while collaborating with product teams to ensure consistent and predictable delivery.
  • Foster a culture of agility and continuous learning, encouraging team members to adopt agile ways of working, identifying opportunities to optimize processes and increase efficiency, and staying current with industry best practices and emerging trends.

What you'll
bring

  • Able to navigate and negotiate around obstacles, does not shy away from difficult conversations
  • Extensive leadership experience and strong teaming abilities
  • Experienced with cultivating and driving team morale and a culture of continuous improvement and growth
  • Demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships with all levels of management, staff, internal clients and stakeholders and external vendors and agents.
  • Broad knowledge of Agile Frameworks and techniques e.g., Scrum, Kanban, User Story Mapping, Lean Startup, CI/CD
  • Understanding of and experience with Agile Portfolio Management
  • Training/experience/certifications like Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), KMP I+II, Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (ACM), scaled agile (SAFe (SA), LESS), Certified Agile Leadership (CAL) I and II. Certified Discipline Agilist (CDA) are assets
  • Minimum 5 years of experience using agile delivery tools and methods: JIRA Scrum/Kanban and administration, Confluence, Excel, PowerPoint, Chat tools
  • Optionally, experience and training/experience in traditional Project Management an asset (PMP, PMI-ACP) and tools such as Gantt, resource scheduling planning
  • Quantitatively driven, will understand the value of information, and will use this to drive strategy and tactics. A decisive individual with a passion for results and will have the ability to influence and guide the actions of others.
  • 5 years experience leading delivery teams in an Agile SDLC environment.
