TRACS:
Transforming Faculty Management

TRACS (Teaching, Research and Collaboration System) is an enterprise faculty management platform designed to transform manual business processes into online workflows for reporting, collaborative planning and faculty lifecycle management.

The effective management and program planning of all Faculties and departments has a direct impact on our students. eTRACS is our in-house product developed using the latest development technology stack, modern interfaces and libraries. By being a part of our team, you will be contributing to improving the SFU experience.


This position will be a part of a team dedicated to the replacement of a legacy FileMaker system in the Faculty of Education, and leading the re-engineering of business processes and translating them into eTRACS.

You will work closely with both the eTRACS Core Team as well as the Faculty of Education Team, ensuring best practices and functional and UI designs are created as well as ensuring the success of the Faculty of Education in moving their processes and data into eTRACS.


Qualifications:

  • Excellent knowledge of systems and functional analysis, quality assurance, and change management best practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL, data modelling, entity relationship diagrams (ERDs) and logical design.
  • Good knowledge of facilitating business process reengineering and improvement.
  • Good knowledge of Scrum methodology.
  • Good knowledge of the Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN).
  • Good knowledge of manual and automated business process and workflow redesign.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent leadership and mentorship skills.
  • Excellent analytical reasoning, problem solving, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Excellent technical documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, and collaboratively as part of team of business analysts, technical developers, and business stakeholders.
