A related post-secondary certificate required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Must have a Certificate from a recognized training program that includes a practicum component. Completion of a Medical Terminology course. Ability to learn new computer software programs. Ability to prioritize, organize, take initiative and work independently as required. 1-2 years related experience in an acute hospital environment. Ability to demonstrate your specific understanding of function and limitations of the surgical suites. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Surgical Suite Booking Clerk experience. Working knowledge of Connect Care, VAX, Outlook, Word and Excel. Current or previous ambulatory care experience. Current or previous acute hospital clerical or medical office experience preferred.
