HIRING LOCATION:
Telework (in Québec) with travel to Nunavik (2-3 week-ends per year)


STATUS:
Temporary full-time position (35 hours/week) for one year, with possibility of one year prolongation


IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:
Director of professional services


STARTING DATE:
As soon as possible


In the context of the resumption of orthodontic services in Nunavik, the establishment wishes to experiment with the creation of a new position to plan and implement non-insured health services.

This pilot project will make it possible to validate the responsibilities of the position and the effort required on a permanent basis.


SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:


Under the authority of the Director of Professional Services, the person is responsible for one or more programmes or projects with the aim of providing professional assistance for the development of services, in particular by advising, monitoring or supporting various players in one or more programmes or projects.

The person carries out the research required to identify and assess resources and needs. Designs and proposes development plans and programmes to ensure that services are properly planned. It advises on the implementation or improvement of programmes and/or services. It may participate in various teaching and training activities.


In collaboration with partners in the region, the person plays a role in planning, coordinating, implementing and maintaining quality professional services in terms of accessibility, continuity and safety.

More specifically, to begin this pilot project, the incumbent will perform his/her duties in accordance with the "Regional Policy - Orthodontic Services".


Qualifications
An undergraduate university degree in an appropriate discipline such as administration, humanities, social sciences or health sciences;
Relevant experience in the health and social services network, more specifically in the Nunavik territory, or any other transferable experience;
Bilingualism essential, French and English (spoken and written); Inuktitut is an asset;
Good judgement, organisation and planning skills;
Availability, flexibility, decision-making ability and autonomy;
Leadership, interpersonal skills, teamwork and collaboration with various stakeholders;
Excellent oral and written communication and negotiation skills;
Good understanding of issues;
Ability to manage breakdowns calmly, listen and take responsibility;
Willingness to travel to Nunavik occasionally.

$947.80/week | Max: $1,679.30/week
