As GeoScan Subsurface Surveys Business Development Associate, you will be supported and encouraged to grow with every opportunity. As a foundation to our sales team, this role will provide you with a fantastic opportunity to learn and sharpen your sales skills, while working with a flexible, hungry, smart and humble team
You will make an impact on our organization by building customer relationships, providing superior customer service, closing deals, and networking to build a strong pipeline of future customers.
You'll use your experience and knowledge to strategically and consultatively help our clients with custom plans that truly meet their needs.
This role is the foundation of our sales team and provides a fantastic opportunity to learn and sharpen your sales skills.
As our Business Development Associate, your day-to-day responsibilities include:- Building on existing customer relationships
- Checking Bid Sites for upcoming, relevant projects and identifying key "bidders"
- Define the scope of any upcoming work
- Complete client followup/feedback calls on completed projects
- Enter client/lead details into our company CRM system
- Conduct lunch and learns with clients outlining our services
- Visit client sites and offices
- Attend industry events
- Work closely with our customer service, dispatch and estimating teams
- Network to build a strong pipeline of future customers
- Record of achievement with sales goals and building a pipeline
- Valid class 5 BC driver's license
- Minimum of 12 years of Business or Sales Development Representative experience
- Experience in trades such as construction, environmental, engineering (civil), surveying
- Knowledge of underground utility infrastructure, civil engineering, or surveying
- Experience estimating, quoting, and submitting formal proposals
- Experience with Microsoft, CRMs and Google Suite of Products

- Ability to project manage without having direct reports

- A starting base salary between $60,000 $70,000 annually
