Position Overview
Responsibilities
Network Infrastructure Management:
- Assist in Design, implement, and maintain the company's network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN solutions.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to procure necessary network equipment and services.
Security Management:
- Assist in developing, implementing, and enforcing security policies, procedures, and controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company data and guests' information.
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and address security gaps.
- Respond to security incidents, conduct investigations, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Firewall and Intrusion Detection/Prevention System (IDS/IPS) Management:
- Configure, manage, and maintain firewall and IDS/IPS systems to safeguard the network against unauthorized access and malicious activities.
- Monitor firewall logs and IDS/IPS alerts to detect and respond to security threats in a timely manner.
User Access Control and Identity Management:
- Administer user access control systems and manage user accounts to ensure appropriate access levels and permissions.
- Implement and maintain identity management solutions to authenticate and authorize users securely.
Security Awareness and Training:
- Help Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to educate employees about security best practices and promote a culture of security awareness.
- Assist in Providing guidance and support to staff members on securityrelated issues and concerns.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in network administration and security management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols, technologies, and architectures.
Experience with firewall and IDS/IPS systems (e.g., Palo Alto Networks).
Familiarity with security standards and frameworks (e.g., PCI DSS, ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, CompTIA Network+/Security+ or equivalent.
Experience with hospitality-specific systems and technologies (e.g., property management systems, point-of-sale systems).
Knowledge of cloud security principles and practices (e.g., Microsoft Azure).
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware vSphere / ESXi).
