- Provide expert advice and guidance to clients and partners.
- Interpret and implement the FOIP Act.
- Draft FOIP related policies, directives, standards, and guidelines.
- Update and deliver FOIP training and awareness sessions.
- Coordinate Privacy Impact Assessments and respond to allegations of privacy breaches.
Qualifications
***- A degree in Social Sciences, Law, Public Administration, Information Systems or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience working in a public service environment.
- Certification from the Canadian Institute of Access and Privacy Professionals (CIAPP), Privacy and Access Council of Canada (PACC), International Association of Privacy Professional (IAPP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) would be considered an asset.
- Success in this position requires strong customer service, communication, investigation, interviewing, and consulting skills.
- Applicants must have well developed analysis and research skills and the ability to work well independently.
- The ability to exercise excellent judgment in difficult situations as well as develop and deliver training is essential.
Preemployment Requirements - A security clearance will be conducted.
