Shipping Forklift Operator - Winnipeg, Canada - MacDon Industries Ltd
Description
Responsibilities:
- Transport finished product and parts from the proper pickup point and deliver to destination
- Ability to safely transport long headers
- Properly and safely load product onto flatbeds and shipping containers
- Locates machines in the yard for loads and brings them to the load station
- Assist ground level employees with banding, loading/unloading, blocking trailers
- To work safely and point out anything that may be unusual or unsafe to supervision
- Proficient in DSI gun for locating parts and jigs
- Maintain a clean work area and inform area supervision of any unsafe conditions
- Fill out daily forklift maintenance checklists
- Other duties as assigned
- Working Conditions:
- Extreme temperatures (heat/cold)
- High noise levels
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Forklift Operator
- Ability to drive a Large Forklift over 10,000 Lbs. capacity
- Experience working in a manufacturing setting an asset
- Previous experience in the operation of a gaspowered forklift, preferably in the steel industry
- Successful completion of all MacDon prescreening assessments
- Organizational and time management skills
- Clear communication (understanding written and verbal cues)
- Valid MacDon Forklift Operator license
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Know and understand the WHMIS labeling system
- Ability to work rotating shifts
Salary:
$15.30-$23.92 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
