MAJOR DUTIES:

Ships, receives, stores and issues supplies and merchandise and keeps records.

SPECIFIC RESPONISBILITIES:

Heavy lift or rigging experience to handle large machinery.

Receiving and shipping of incoming and outgoing courier shipments.
Unloading and loading of incoming and outgoing trucks once internal lift truck training has been successfully completed.
Counts and sorts incoming packages to verify receipt against truck/courier waybills and suppliers' packing slips, while conducting visual inspections for damage.
Operates fork truck and other handling equipment to transport received materials to various locations in the plant.
Packaging of outbound goods, verifying quantities and conducting visual inspection, including special packaging requirements for exports.
Follow all internal ISO procedures.
Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct.
Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures. Ensures that proper PPE including gloves is used during the handling, packaging and unpackaging of products inbound and out bound where the safety of the employee may be detrimental.

Qualifications:

Education:

A grade 12 diploma specializing in technology or equivalent.

Experience:

Minimum of one year of experience in shipping, receiving and/or warehouse procedures in a tooling, machine shop or manufacturing environment.

From a lift truck perspective, emphasis is on, and preference will be given to those with rigging experience and/or handling of large and heavy pieces.

Good written and verbal communications skills required.
