Our Team:


The IT Analyst II assists with the overall network maintenance and expansion at Coleman Mine and contributes to the safe operation of the mine site.


The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an
IT Analyst II
to join our team Coleman Mine Team in Sudbury
. This is a permanent, **position.

In this role you will be accountable for:

  • Assisting with the overall network maintenance & expansion including configuration of system alarms, network switches, and firewalls; field troubleshooting including fiber and patching; network optimization; deployment of network switches including racking, fiber, and patching; network documentation management; and patching and firmware revisions.
  • Ensuring compatibility across all connected platforms.
  • Support critical apps on Tablets including tracking of equipment and parts.
  • System expansion activities will include RRU deployment and configuration.
  • PCN maintenance (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Annually)
  • Implementation of IT security recommendations and related system integrations.
  • Assist with system configuration and maintenance including datalogger configuration, installation support, and system software support.
  • Coordination of site surveys as required.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting of power supply issues.
  • Ensure that the tracking systems are configured and maintained.
  • Confirm the configuration and maintenance of cameras, videos, radio system, Kepware, and Factory Talk.
  • Interface with PI on dashboard creation and ensure that the PI and SAP interface is functioning.
  • Camera configuration, software support, and troubleshooting for the video network.
  • Database management for technical areas.

About You

Education:


  • Undergraduate degree or Diploma in Computer Science is required.

Experience:


  • 23 years related experience is preferred.

Skills:


  • Critical thinking skills for timely resolution of technical software or hardware issues.
  • Ability to develop and manage relationships with a diverse range of professionals in a mining atmosphere.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence without authority.
