Cumberland Paving and Contracting is part of Miller Paving Atlantic, based in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

Cumberland Paving and Contracting provides the public and private sectors with road construction, paving, road and structure rehabilitation, engineering construction, aggregate-based materials, highway operations, and maintenance services.

As a Backhoe Operator, You Will:

Operate in an effective and safe manner
Demonstrate ability to gain knowledge quickly
Follow safety precautions, procedures, and policies
Able to perform physical labour
Other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring:

Must have 25 years of backhoe experience
Mechanical experience or knowledge will be considered an asset
Previous construction and operating experience will be considered an asset
Comfortability with daily exposure to construction environment (ex. Outside, noisy, fumes, duty environment)
Ability to sit, stand or drive more than 90 minutes per day
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs/22.7 kg
Effective communication (written and verbal)
Have a valid driver's license
Be punctual, reliable, and a team player
