You will be able to independently identify and resolve issues and manage corresponding timelines and effectively communicate the production aspects with our team.

We are looking for someone with a hands-on approach with experienced knowledge of cannabis post-harvest and processing requirements to work in tandem with the capabilities and structure of our modern craft-grow facility.

This is a full time, salaried position at our London, Ontario location.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all postproduction activities from post harvest to final products include but is not limited to: trimming, drying/curing, packaging, milling, preroll filling, bottling, labelling, master case packaging and configuration.
  • Manage trimming, preroll, packaging/labelling, storage, and shipping activities.
  • Ensure quality standard is consistent with craft cannabis designation
  • Operates and maintain preroll, milling equipment as needed.
  • Process plants during harvest in preparation for drying including trimming off stem and stalk as required
  • Follow label control process to create and document product and master case labels
  • Set production schedule, maintaining a smooth workflow and manageable pace
  • Ensure production targets, schedules, and quality metrics are consistently met
  • Work with various stakeholders to help ensure IPM, sanitation and destruction activities are being carried out to standard
  • Follow strict quality control checks and ensure batch records are recorded clearly and accurately
  • Ensure equipment is clean and calibrated before use
  • Follow guidelines for storing of supplies and products and disposal of waste
  • Strict compliance with all regulations under the Cannabis Act
  • Clean up and sanitize processing areas
  • Perform regular calibration of equipment and testing instruments as required
  • Responsible for line clearance, setup, documentation (including reviewing and modifying in partnership with quality assurance all postproduction SOPs), inprocess checks and quality spot checks for manufacturing lines.
  • Assume a leadership role within the team to achieve target line rates and appropriate quality levels.
  • Foster and maintain a positive and collaborative work environment to motivate staff
  • Identify and remove obstacles that prevent your team from accomplishing tasks
  • Proactively manage employee, process or equipment issues and escalating up as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

Required Skills/Experience/Knowledge_

  • Strong multitasking, problem solving skills.
  • Ability to perform tasks with mínimal supervision
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficiency with MS Office/365, especially in Excel, Word
  • Previous experience working in a regulated production environment preferred
  • Strong organizational skills, setting timelines and priorities
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Must be 19+ with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance if requested, as per Health Canada's Cannabis Act
  • Previous Health Canada Security Clearance and work experience with a Canadian Licensed Producer (LP) is considered as an asset
  • Experience in Good Production Practices (GPP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) considered as an asset
