Under the direction of the Operations Director, you will act as a coordinator of the daily activities of shipping, receiving and controlling the Sales and System Integration warehouse inventories.

You will ensure the smooth running of each team member's tasks on a daily basis and act as a reference and support for your immediate colleagues.

Your day will look like this:

Manage the daily tasks of the warehouse, including providing direction to the team
Ensure the smooth running of reception, transfers and dispatching to/from the warehouse
Provide solid communication to the project management team, procurement and sales on a daily basis, including aiding in investigations
Process all items in Microsoft Dynamics 36
Ensure the replenishment and storage of supplies, tools and warehouse equipment, necessary for the proper functioning of all departments (including min/max)
Coordinate with corporate procurement and accounts payable departments to ensure all transactions are accounted for
Offer expertise and assistance to the team throughout daily tasks; help, guide and support the team in the completion of the work
Participate in the implementation of optimal working methods and space optimization
Ensure the followup of established procedures, according to Solotech standards, by the members of the team and/or support them
In collaboration with the Operations Director and Project Managers, support the operation in achieving a high level of inventory accuracy through a robust cycle count process and in conducting audits associated with the warehouse operation
Responsible to lead annual inventory audit in February
Responsible for organization and management of client / supplier / vendor documentation
Identify training needs
Communicate all problematic situations to your supervisor and collaborate in establishing solutions including identifying root cause of any issues
Responsible for management of all material returns to suppliers
Collaborate, build relationships with the other members of the Toronto Live Production warehouse team to ensure that we work together smoothly
Plan the delivery of equipment to clients, when necessary for our driver/Uber to be used
Participate in welcoming and training new employees if required
In collaboration with the Operations Director, help to distribute work among team members if required according to priorities and ensuring efficient execution of shipping and receiving projects.

Your profile:

Studied or worked in inventory or logistics management
4 to 5 years in a similar position
Excellent physical condition
Highly comfortable using computer programs with a good proficiency in Office suite
Excellent, professional communicator with a great command of English, both spoken and written
Experience with forklift driving or willing to get a license
Effective time management and task prioritization skills and experience
Team coordination and leadership skills
Hold a valid Ontario license
Knowledge of professional sound, video projection and lighting equipment (an asset)
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (D365) (an asset)
Knowledge of shipping systems such as Purolator, Fedex, etc (an asset)
Knowledge of French (an asset).
