Under the direction of the Health Services Manager, the Clerk contributes to the effective operation of the nursing unit by acting as the central communication person for the unit.
The Clerk performs reception, clerical and administrative duties following hospital policies and procedures while maintaining a high standard of maturity and discretion in handling confidential matters.
About You:
- Grade 12 plus one year postsecondary business, secretarial, or office management diploma
- Two years secretarial or general clerical experience
- Experience in a healthrelated field preferred
- Experience with multi discipline staff scheduling and scheduling software
- Demonstrated selfstarter and problem solver
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent computer skills including knowledge of wordprocessing and spread sheet capabilities
- Demonstrated proficiency of Microsoft Programs
- Must be knowledgeable about collective agreements and human resource policies
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work as a team member
- Experience with Time Capture an asset
- Experience with Kronos an asset
- Ability to multitask and manage competing demands
- Ability to effectively manage a timesensitive workload
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Hours:
- Long Assignment Full Time position; 70 hours biweekly
- Approximately 12 months
Compensation and Incentives:
$ $24.31 hourly
