This role is a key member of the KAG Canada team and provides analysis of financial business drivers to support decision making, by executive and managers.

Job Responsibilities

Ensure direct reports are trained, working towards defined performance goals
Oversees the annual operating budget process for each of the operating divisions and specific location within the company by coordinating and finalizing each budget and then compiling to master budget for the group of companies.
Prepares analysis, schedules and presentations where necessary to support the budget process.
Responsible for the preparation of forecasting as it relates to both revenue and treasury
Managing the preparation of all financial reports/statements in relation to the internal monthly financial reporting packages and government reporting.
Responsibility to continuously improve and strengthen depth of systembased analysis.
Provides thought leadership in the areas of best practices of financial analysis, financial reporting, financial data management, internal controls, and software tools.
Works with Accounting Leadership and other departments to identify and prioritize current and future accounting, reporting and analytical requirements.
Ensures new reporting and analytical tools are developed, tested and implemented in accordance with appropriate change management processes and controls to ensure accuracy, timeliness and efficiency
Performs and supports various financial analyses to assist leaders in managing the business.
Proactively troubleshoots processes to continuously improve, advance or simplify data gathering and or reporting and analytics.
Responsible for annual corporate tax filings and various other governmental filings
Support accounting team as required (audit inquiries, accounting changes, month end process, etc.)
Assist in special projects, acquisitions, and other duties as required

Job Requirements

Degree in Finance/Business/Accounting, and their CPA or equivalent
57 years of related experience.
Strong Accounting and Audit experience.
Proven problem solving ability of complex issues.
Excellent computer skills with focus in MS Excel modeling.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of our global organization.
Past experience with Prophix, ADP, Great Plains, TMW or PowerBi an asset.
Transportation background is an asset.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with an ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines while ensuring a high level of accuracy.
Able to communicate effectively across all levels of our global organization.
