The Consumer Taxation Programs Branch (CTPB) is a branch within the Revenue Division of the Ministry of Finance. The Revenue Division is responsible for the administration of tax and natural resource revenues for the province. The division promotes voluntary compliance through quality customer service, education and compliance programs. CTPB administers the provincial consumption tax statutes.


Job Requirements:


  • Diploma or higher in a businessrelated program plus a minimum of 1 year of recent related work experience; OR
  • Working towards completion of a diploma or higher in a businessrelated program plus a minimum of 2 years of recent related work experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered.
  • Recent related work experience includes any of the following:
  • Experience with accounts payable/receivable and reconciliations,
  • Experience preparing financial statements and journal entries,
  • Experience preparing or auditing financial transactions/records and/or tax filings,
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing financial information,

Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Consumption tax administration experience.
  • Gentax software experience.

About this Position:


Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home a few days a week as per the Telework Agreement.
