Position Summary:


Reporting to the Director, Strategic Initiatives and Stakeholder Engagement, the Coordinator, Projects and Change is responsible for supporting the Director as well as other leaders in the organization with project management and change management expertise, guidance and practice expertise.

This role is responsible to develop and draft a variety of documents, including but not limited to project and change plans, communication materials, meeting agendas, briefing notes, reports, spreadsheets and slide decks.

This role is vital in ensuring that project management, planning and coordination is collaborative, the approach is consistent, and change capacity continues to improve across CC/CL.

The position is also involved in supporting the development, progress tracking/monitoring and communication of projects or initiatives within the organization for overall success.

The Coordinator, Projects and Change performs all duties in accordance with Covenant Care/Living's (CC/CL) Mission, Vision and Values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Align work with Covenant Family Strategic Framework and integrate organizational priorities within CC/CL
  • Communication through Briefing Notes, Presentations, and documentation for reporting to CC/CL Senior Leadership Team
  • Change and Project Management expertise to guide and coach others in the organization to successful outcomes
  • Projects are facilitated, coordinated, supported and or participated in effectively with participation in planning, setting goals and objectives, coordination and collaboration, as well as implementing and managing change
  • Identify any change management risks or issues arising prior to and throughout the project lifecycle, communicate and develop mitigation plans for them.
  • Support the implementation of key operational and strategic and stewardship projects and initiatives
  • Participate in external relations, stakeholder and community engagement activities
  • Coordinate/facilitate/participate in various committees to support the priorities and goals of the Director, Senior Team and organization
  • Work in a collaborative nature and take strong initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and within set timelines
  • Problemsolve and manage conflicts or politically sensitive matters in a professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and external contacts.
  • Develop and create a wide range of documents to support the Director, Senior Team and/or the organization including, but not limited to: briefing notes, formal reports, presentations, meeting materials, reports to the Board of Directors
  • Provide support in developing, communicating and implementing department initiatives
  • Participate, coordinate and/or support other projects or initiatives as required for the department or organization
  • Serve
as a point of contact/liaison in the department to internal and external stakeholders to ensure information is collected, collated, and disseminated in an efficient, effective and timely manner

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • This position requires a proficient skill set in engagement, change management and project management, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal (influence, persuasion, negotiation, communication) skills
  • Certificate or diploma in project management and/or change management (equivalent training will be considered)
  • Experience supporting or leading projects and chang
