Position Summary and Responsibilities:


Our IT Consultants (internally called vCIOs) are responsible for building and maintaining purposeful relationships within our existing client base, resulting in highly effective information technology recommendations, driven by our clients' strategic business objectives.

We are the strategists.

Our depth of technical knowledge coupled with our strong business acumen helps to change traditional thought on IT, making it a purposeful driver of growth rather than a cost center.


What do our IT Consultants do?

  • Strategic Consulting
  • You engage with clients to understand their business needs and goals, helping them leverage technology to get where they need to go.


  • Relationships

  • You build and maintain trusting relationships with clients, primarily at the decisionmaking level, but also maintain working relationships within our clients' operations management team, striving to make advocates out of our clients.


  • Tech Stack Compliance

  • You have a broad understand of technology and a deep understanding of our solution catalog. You couple your knowledge of technology and security to maximize the value of solutions for our clients by effectively translating how our solutions can be leveraged to achieve strategic business goals.


  • Solution Design

  • You see the big picture and help them focus on growth now and in the future. You understand how different pieces of technology, processes, security, and people interact with the business. Utilizing your expertise at writing, you skillfully create compelling proposals visions of tomorrow.


  • Client Financial Health

  • You work with our internal teams and our clients to ensure their technology stack is working for them, not against them nor against us. This results in an equitable financial relationship between us and our clients.


  • Client Retention

  • You will keep your finger on the pulse of the overarching health of our relationship to ensure clients feel the value they are receiving is worth the price. We strive to build client advocates and it is your job to facilitate that endeavor.

What skills do I need to be a successful IT Consultant?

  • Amazing strategic planning, including an ability to interpret technology and market trends to develop strategic roadmaps for your clients.

Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.

What are the qualifications I need to have?

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Professional experience in creating longterm strategic technology organizational roadmaps and budgets.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in the following areas:
  • The art of translating technical concepts into succinct, non-technical terms to executive-level stakeholders.
  • Paid, fulltime experience in IT, including a mix of strategic consultation and network administration experience. To be clear, this is not a system administrator role; you won't be doing technical work.

Would be awesome if you had

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in business administration, technology, or a related field
  • Handson experience supporting and managing physical and virtualized Microsoft Windows based server environments such as Active Directory, SQL etc. whether onpremises, colocated, or within public or private Cloud environments.
  • Experience with networking technologies such as firewalls, router
