Reporting to the Manager, Procurement & Business Development, the
Supply Chain Coordinator supports Team RVH with approved procurement initiatives.

This role works collaboratively with key stakeholders across the Health Centre and MMC by providing exceptional customer service with guidance and support in the completion of procurement documentation; LTAF's and Agreements, contract renewal strategy, vendor issues and the product trials and evaluation process.

In addition, the Supply Chain Coordinator works with MMC as the lead for RVH in ensuring contracts are renewed in a timely fashion in compliance with BPS and the RVH Procurement Policy.


You will be responsible for:


  • Processing purchase orders for Capital, confirming orders with vendors.
  • Responding to internal and external inquiries and relaying information to various stakeholders.
  • Advising and leading internal stakeholders through various procurement processes including contract review and administration.
  • In partnership with MMC, completing internal contract package reviews, and facilitating contract package approvals for Senior Leadership Team.
  • Working with MMC to ensure contracts are in place prior to expiration.
  • Participating on the Capital Equipment Committee; working with MMC and program leadership to facilitate purchases and cost savings.
  • Working with MMC and internal stakeholders to complete product trials evaluations in a fair and transparent manner.
  • Maintains internal contract and LTAF files in an organized fashion.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:


  • A minimum of a three (3) year postsecondary diploma in Business Administration or a related field is required. A specialty in Purchasing would be considered an asset.
  • Professional designation or certification in Supply Chain is considered an asset.

Experience:


  • A minimum of five years relevant working experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge or previous experience with construction initiatives is considered an asset.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Broader Public Sector Procurement Directive.
  • Demonstrated experience working with the competitive procurement process.

You are ideal for this position if you have:

  • Strong negotiation skills, experience and knowledge in contract management required.
  • Advanced level skills in MS Office, (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively liaise with staff, suppliers, other government procurement agencies.
  • Highly developed research skills to obtain adequate product use and knowledge and keep abreast of market conditions and issues.
  • Proven workrelated skills demonstrating a high level of flexibility and accountability with a customer service focus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fastpaced environment with competing priorities performing time sensitive tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively function as a team with other members of Team RVH.
