About the Opportunity:


The IM/IT Systems Analyst (SA) / Business Analyst (BA), reports to an IM/IT Manager and will take direction from either the IM/IT Lead or Sr.

Analyst.

This position is responsible for the requirement gathering, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support for primarily clinical information management and technology solutions and functions across NSH, IWK and its many external clients.

The IM/IT SA/BA works with their team to collaborate with key clinical and business stakeholders throughout the province as the organization, in partnership with the province's Internal Services Department and the Department of Health and Wellness, moves towards the rationalization of disparate systems and the OPOR strategy.


About the Opportunity Continued:


Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for the information gathering and documentation of business requirements and end user workflow impacts as they relate to IT systems and processes during the planning phases of projects and operational initiatives.
  • Responsible for ensuring that IT systems and processes within the area of responsibility are implemented and maintained to support the effective and safe delivery of patient information to care providers.
  • Ensure a customer service focused approach throughout all activities and interactions by demonstrating a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement with the collaborative relationship between self and identified stakeholders and end users.
  • Responds to calls assigned by Service Desk to provide tier two support for end users regarding problems and issues dealing with standard productivity desktop software, e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Develops educational material for staff, clinicians and volunteers and ensures that these are kept current
  • Prepares information systems related educational materials for specific needs, as required by Directors and/or Managers
  • Complete other duties as assigned in relation to the position description

About You:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Degree or diploma in an Information Technology, Business Analysis or Health Related discipline. Consideration may be given to those with equivalent training and relevant experience.
  • Experience and/or training with healthcare information systems and terminology an asset.
  • Experience in a healthcare or clinical setting an asset.
  • Certification in IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Project Management (PMP), and/or organizational change management an asset.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and document issues, problems and implement resolution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience creating summary documentation based on evaluation and analysis an asset.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to document and solve issues.
  • Organizational skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to clearly communicate NSH vision, mission and values.

Compensation and Incentives:

$ $40.02 Hourly
