SEASONAL PARKS LABOURER
(temporary - up to 6 months)****in the Parks department.

Successful applicants will perform heavy manual work including a variety of maintenance
tasks related to parks, boulevards, natural areas, grounds, buildings and facilities.
Examples of tasks include trimming and mowing grass, watering trees and flowers,
performing garbage collection, cutting and chipping branches, doing sports field
maintenance duties, weeding flower and shrub beds, sweeping, shovelling, and minor
painting.

Applicants must have the following qualifications:

  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License with air brake endorsement
  • Demonstrated competency driving a 2ton truck with air brakes
Previous experience performing similar work would be an asset.

The rate of pay for this position is $29.79 per hour plus 15% in lieu of benefits. Shortlisted
applicants will be required to complete a pre-employment fitness test, demonstrate
driving competency and successfully complete a Police Information Check.
