We are seeking dedicated students who are interested in building a lasting relationship with us by returning year over year for internship terms with the eventual goal of employment after graduation.
As part Applied's Scholarship Program, at the end of each successful term the selected student will receive a scholarship award for their hard work.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
The overall purpose of the role
Customer Service Representative Trainee is to develop technical knowledge of Applied's product offering in areas such as bearings, belts, sheaves, bushings, roller chains, adaptors, etc.
In this role, you will provide our customers with expert assistance to a wide variety of questions and problems. Unlike most CSR roles, you will build ongoing business relationships with our customers through repeated contact and consultation.
As this is a service and parts center, our ability to get customers' business often depends on your ability to quickly and efficiently provide them with the right parts and/or solutions - especially when customers are experiencing costly equipment breakdowns.
You may also occasionally have hands-on duties that will require mechanical aptitude.Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Developing a sound understanding of Applied's processes, product offerings, clients, and markets
- Inside Sales responsibilities include:
- Directly engaged in all sales activities
- Enter and process orders in SAP in an accurate and timely manner
- Organize and maintain all applicable records and files; etc.
- Provide support to outside sales force
- Prospecting for new customers and demonstrate product benefits and build ongoing relationships with customers
- Help put stock away and assist with cycle counts
- Other tasks as required
