    Reporting to the Supervisor, Advising and Career Services, this positionwill work closely with students and staff to coordinate the development,promotion, and delivery of an institution-wide peer mentorship program at NAIT.This position conducts on-going assessments of the program, implementing bestpractices and maintaining a high standard of excellence in mentoring andsupport services while providing a meaningful community engagement opportunity.

    KeyResponsibilities:

  • Overseesparticipant recruitment, orientation, training, and performance assessment,monitoring results and problem-solving to meet students' needs and ensure theachievement of learning outcomes.
  • Provides ongoing communication, support, guidance, and coaching toprogram participants.
  • Leadsthe planning and coordination of program events and promotions.
  • Developsand implements volunteer recognition and appreciation activities.
  • Analyzesprogram evaluation data and makes recommendations to the Supervisor for programdevelopments and future events.
  • Oversees the coordination and maintenance of the program's social mediaaccounts.
  • Overseesrecord-keeping and integrity of relevant program data.
  • Skills& Abilities:

  • Ability to supervise student volunteers with a coaching and mentoringphilosophy.
  • Experiencedeveloping and delivering training materials.
  • Experienceplanning events and program promotions.
  • Excellentoral, verbal, and written communication including formal presentations.
  • Provenability to be a team player with demonstrated leadership qualities.
  • Relationship-buildingskills with students, staff, and colleagues and the ability to gain confidenceand cooperation of all stakeholders.
  • Abilityto time-manage, meet deadlines, and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Attentionto detail.
  • Demonstratedability to work independently, including researching best practices.
  • Familiaritywith office software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite) and the ability to learn newsoftware systems. Experience with Orbis or Symplicity is an asset.
  • Qualifications:

  • Related post-secondary diploma.
  • Considerable related experience(three to five years)
  • Equivalencies may be considered.
  • Applicants witheducation credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentialsevaluated by World Education Services or the International QualificationsAssessment Service (IQAS).

    Remuneration : $61, $83,085.08 annually,plus a comprehensive benefits package. (Classification – Coordinator l).

    Thisposition is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE)Collective Agreement.
